Hey Brother!

As you can see, these weeks I have been working in a very beautiful and useful project. The intention of this work was to study to subtitle a video from English language to  Basque and Spanish. The teacher commented that these two languages were obligatory, but I have translated into a Portuguese  and French, so you have the opportunity to listen the song into a 5 languages.

The song is very popular, probably you know what song it is because it was composed by a music group "Avicii ". Yes of course, the song's name is "Hey Brother". The video teach the history of one boy that he lose his brother on the war, and also he show American habits.

At first I had some doubts about the song, so, my friends helped me on chose the song. To do this project, the teacher told us that we had a couple of days, and in total I have taken two weeks.

To do this work I used a computer program call "DotSub", this program has resulted very useful because thanks of this I can subtitle the song. To upload the video into a "DotSub", first you have to go to "Mozilla Firefox". Then you go into a youtube and you search the video, later  under the video appear one key, but if you don't know what key is, I give a capture screen:

Later one you have download the video, you can go to "dotsub" page and upload the video. This program ask some questions to upload the video, you can answered without problems. When you have done all these steps you will begin subtitle the video.

QUIZ

            The last week my schoolmate Alaitz and me we did a quiz about technology, like question about programs, formats.. and everything connected with technology.  For doing this quiz we used a very good program call "Hot Potatoes". This program is used to do a lot of things that you can see in this page. In my opinion this program is very  useful and gratifying because the proper functioning help a lot to do a very good work.

            First, Alaitz and me looked some information on internet and then we began to do a questionnaire on "DRIVE". Later we began to rewrite these questions on "HotPotatoes" (the programe that I comment up) and we finished everything when we finalize the aspects and the formats of the QUIZ.

Children's rights!

As you will know it has been a long time since I last entered the blog,  but I have a very good excuse. These two weeks I  have worked on a specific web page called "Glogster" and the teacher said that we should choose one of these: women's rights, children's rights and human rights. In my case I chose to do a project about the children's rights. I passed very good time doing this new work. Now you can see the glog that I did. I hope that you like a lot :) Byebyye kisses!

This evaluation all the class we have been working on a website, namely, the teacher told us that we had to create  a new website with something to sold.

This week the teacher told us that we are going to do a project about the Nobel prize winner. Firstly, we make a table about the winners of the Nobel prize on "Drive". Later, I chose one of them, and finally, I will begin to write some information. The men who select called Robert Francis Furchgott (U.S.A) , Louis J. Ignarro (U.S.A) and Ferid Murad (U.S.A) and he won in 1998 a Nobel prize of medicine and physiology, for their discoveries concerning nitric oxide as a signalling molecule in the cardiovascular system.

     Robert F. Furchgot was born in the coastal city of Charleston in 1916 and lived there until I was thirteen. When he went a conference in his city when he was a child, he enamoured of "natural history" and later of that, he began to analyse the world of the physiology and medicine.


 In 1978, he discovered a substance in endothelial cells that relaxes blood vessels, calling it endothelium-derived relaxing factor (EDRF). His first Nobel prize he arrived in 1998, and years before Furchgott also received a Gairdner Foundation International Award for his ground breaking discoveries in 1991, and the Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research in 1996.

Unfortunately, Robert F. Furchgot died on may in 2009 with 92 years old, in his house in Charleston.


    Louis J. Ignarro was born in 1941 in Brooklyn (New York). His parents were Italian immigrants.

On the one hand, nowadays he is professor of pharmacology on the UCLA School of Medicine's in Los Angeles and he incorporated in 1856. Later he went to work to California and he was a professor of pharmacology at Tulane University School of Medicine, for 12 years. On the other hand, Ignarro published a lot of books for lay audiences about health and wellness focusing on the benefits of increasing nitric oxide production. He is a frequent public speaker on these and related topics.

In his life, he won five prizes, such as: (plus the prize that he won in 1998).

1994: Roussel prize
1995: CIBA prize
1998: AEC prizepremio de la Asociación Estadounidense del Corazón.
1999: ACEE prize

   

Ferid Murad was born on September in 1936. He is an Albanian American physician and pharmacologist, and co winner of the 1998 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Moreover, he is also an honorary member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo.

Ferid Murad is an Albanian immigrant from Gostivar (Macedonia). He received his degree in chemistry from the pre-med program in 1958, and the prize from Case Western Reserve University in 1965. He made professor in 1970, before moving to Stanford in 1981.
On may in 2012, he was proclaimed in Albania a honorary citizen because of his career and his achievements.

The conquist of LA VILLA!

Hello readers! This week, we did nine different stories and each history was of a different kind. I hope that you like the history that I wrote :)


2345. One space ship was going to arrive to La Villa because they were out off fuel. La Villa was a green planet, with only one inhabitant, Mendoza. Mendoza was the last alien of this species. Unfortunately for Mendoza, one day one spaceship arrived to La villa. Mendoza was a negligible and solitary alien. He didn’t like visits. When they arrived La Villa, Mendoza instead of helping them, first thing that he did was contempt.

The visitants didn’t know about the city and they asked for Mendoza to help them. Mendoza, wasn’t happy with the presence of the visitors and he didn’t help them. Then, the visitors didn’t know what to do and they started looking for more people around the city but they realised that the only inhabitant of the city was Mendoza.

Michael was the boy who was driving the ship. He wanted to be the king of La Villa. Seeing the contempt aptitude of Mendoza, the only way to be the king was killing him or throwing Mendoza out of his green planet. He had the aim of being a king because after that fact he could bring to La Villa a lot of people to manage everybody.

Michael was a selfish boy and he wanted to have a rich life, having all the territories that he could in his hands. He immediately started to comment his idea of been king to his friends of the trip and all together, started to plan something to kill Mendoza. They started to do axes and spears with the wood that they collect in the planet and a week after, they were ready to kill him.

The plan of killing Mendoza for Louis, one of the friends, sounded stupid. He said that the idea was bad because of Mendoza was the only alien who can gave them information of the country like why did he lived alone in that planet or whatever. Then Michael said that he was right so he planed to kidnap Mendoza.

They decided to attacked at the night. They called to Mendoza and they said him:

- Now Mendoza, we are going to kill you!

- Are you sure? - said Mendoza with sureness.

-You only are old man! hahaha

- And, you only are a young people that you don’t know anything! - said Mendoza.

At that moment, his arm have been converted in sword laser. They started a war. This war during another four years and Mendoza won. Mendoza was a alien, a very strange alien. He could change to all the things he thought, was a killer. He exterminated all the people of La Villa and all the visits.

- hehehe, nobody is more powerful than me!!

This week I am going to do another project that will be very interesting for the all the people but also for the parents.The most dangerous sites where we stay in the web are tuenti, facebook, twitter, instagram, messenger... but nowadays the most popular pages are tuenti, facebook and twitter. So, I will speak of these three pages. First, I will write somenthing about tuenti, then about facebook, and then about twitter, and finally I will do a short conclusion.


The base of tuenti;) was create in 2006 on Madrid, and in that moment was the most popular web that it was created. The founders of this web, were Zaryn Dentzel, Félix Ruiz, Kenny Bentley and Joaquín Ayuso de Pául. This web used to speak with other people and also you will make friends. With this social website, you can upload photos and moreover you can write in the "plot" of the other people and you can write private messages. But, also it has disadvantages like for example: the bullying the threats the other...

The base of Facebook, was createdin 2004 inUnited States, and the founders wereMark Zuckberg, Eduardo Severin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. This page also use for the same that they use tuenti, but these pages had two differences. The first difference is that tuenti only can use in Spain and Facecook can used in all the world, and the other difference, it is that Facebook is more serious than tuenti, and the people are more adults than tuenti.

 

The base of twitter, was created in 2006, and the founders were Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Evan Williams and Biz Stone. In this page you can't use the "chat", you can use the " private mesage", you can publish in your posts only 140 characters and you can comment on your friends publishings. Nowadays, this is the third most popular social page.

As a conclusion, any social website is dangerous for the people, because in twitter facebook or tuenti, occurre the same things. Nodaways, the Spanish use a lot these pages, we pass more time in the computer than in the street.
